Ashthma Home Remedies.


As commonly known, asthma is a disease related to respiratory system. Age barrier doesn't work for this disease as it can affect young and old alike. Symptoms are shortness of breath, constriction of the airways, coughing and excess mucus in the air way. In this condition, dust particles enters the windpipe and causes partial blockage or irritation. This is an allergic condition & is triggered by exposure to an allergen, environmental or tobacco smoke, 
cold or warm air, perfume, moist air, exercise or exertion, emotional stress, etc.


Home Remedy For Asthma

  • The most effective remedy for curing asthma would be taking finely powdered turmeric with honey. Grind turmeric, add 1 tbsp of the powder to 2 tbsp honey and eat the mixture.
  • Warm a ripe banana on a slow flame. Mash it and sprinkle some black pepper on it. Have this for instant relief.
  • Mix 10 ml of fresh honey with 20ml of a paste of Tulsi (basil) leaves. Take this mixture when you sense an attack of asthma.
  • Eat Tulsi (basil) leaves with black salt.
  • Eat roasted grams every night followed by glass of warm milk.
  • Take 250ml of water and add two tsp fenugreek (methi) seeds. Boil this mixture, until only 1/3rd of the it remains. Let it cool down, filter it and then drink it.
  • A glass of warm milk, with a tsp of turmeric powder added to it is also good remedy for asthmatic patient.
  • Take a glass of lime-juice & add teaspoonful of ginger juice to it & drink it.
  • Put 3 tbsp of water and add 6 pieces of cloves in a pan. Bring the water to a boil, let it cool down and strain. Add a tsp of honey and eat the mixture.
  • Drink a glass of 2/3 carrot juice, 1/3 spinach juice, 3 times a day.


Prevention is better than cure;

  • Avoid cold & damp air exposure.
  • Keep your home well ventilated.
  • Avoid over-exercising & excessive indulgence in sex.
  • Prefer drinking warm water.
  • Any strong smell inducing substance should be avoided. Eg: perfumes.
  • Take morning walks.
  • Do Yoga regularly.
