Dark Circles Home Remedies

Dark circles are the ugly looking black pigmentation around the skin of the orbits of the eye. Its more often can be called Periorbital dark circles. Its the burning question among the youth these days & that's what encouraged me to write about it. Causes include;

  1. Hereditary: In most cases, this is the cause as the inherited genes forces the skin under the eye to be thinner than normally it is. Also its the fact that this part of the eye has the thinnest skin as compared to other parts of body.
  2. Medication: Any medicines causing blood vessels to dilate can develop dark circles.
  3. Poor Sleep & fatigue: Leads to poor oxygen supply to the skin & results in dark circles.
  4. Allergies: it causes itching under the eyes & thus contribute causing the dark circles.
  5. Age: Dark circles become more prominent with progressing age due to decrease in amount of collagen fibres in skin cells.
