The problem of being underweight and Mal-nourished has become a common phenomenon these days especially with teens because of faulty dietary lifestyle, anorexia and problem in assimilation of food taken.
The person is said to be underweight when he has inadequate weight as compared to others of the same age & sex. Ideally, a person whose weight is 10-20% below the average can be called underweight. Some prime causes for underweight problems are anxiety, stress, insomnia, lack of exercise, poor assimilation of food, etc. Irregular and bad dietary lifestyle are key causes for the problem. A person starts facing many secondary health problems; of which hypoglycemia is prime.
Home Remedy For Gaining Weight:-
Don't forget:
Only getting weight is not enough. Exercise should be done to give a proper shape to the weight gained. It also looks great and good for maintaining health else you will be called skinny obese. (person who has fat deposited in belly or hips but has no muscle strength, muscle tone and shape of the body)

Home Remedy For Gaining Weight:-
- You should take qualitative diet rather than quantitative diet because if you will eat more junk food the nutritious diet will not be digested well and assimilation will not be there leaving you without nutrition.
- The most effective and simple remedy to gain weight is to increase your diet in quantity and quality.
- Consume banana milk shake or have banana thrice a day. It's a fast way to gain weight.
- Increase the intake of foods rich in carbohydrate such as flour, rice, honey, raisins, figs, dates, butter, cheese, wheat, etc.
- Along with carbohydrates, you will also need protein rich diet to build a strong muscle tone and shape to the body. You should consume turkey, fish, pork, eggs, peas, milk, cheese, yoghurt, peanuts, almonds, pumpkin, etc.

- Take fat-rich diet like coconut oil, dried coconut, butter, animal fat, egg-yolk, processed meat, cashew, etc.
- Another effective remedy to gain weight would be increased intake of fruit and milk. But be cautious that never take fruits and milk together or mixed. Concept of fruit salad is really hazardous. They should be taken separately and with intervals. Fruits provide energy with sugar and milk gives all round nourishment to the body. You can also consume a glass of hot milk with 1tbsp of honey.
- Mix chopped almonds, date palm and anjeer. Add them in milk and boil this milk and drink this milk lukewarm.
