What is heartburn and acid reflux?
Heartburn and acid reflux is the condition in which the secretion of this acids are increased invariably producing symptoms like heartburn, dyspepsia and also formation of ulcers if left untreated.
Here are symptoms of heartburn:
- Burning sensation in chest
- Feeling as if acidic food coming back from stomach.
- Difficult swallowing
What Causes heartburn ? must know this:-
- Alcoholism
- Intake of Non-vegetarian food items.
- overuse of spicy food in daily meals.
- Intake of Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID's) in excess..
- Person with highly stressful lifestyle are more prone to acidity.
Home Remedies, herbal and natural cure for heartburn:-
- Just put a piece of jaggery in your mouth after every meal ans suck it.
- Increase the intake of milk in your diet.
- Add a tablespoon of honey in a glass of water & drink it after every meal.
- Banana & watermelon are best suited for controlling acidity.
- Eat raw cucumber after meal. It will keep acidity at bay.
- Coconut water is very much potent natural antacid.
- Add the 1tbsp of mint paste to a glass of water & drink it after every meal.
- Mix Chebulic Myrobalan (harde) juice and Indian gooseberry (Amla) juice 1tsp each and take this mixture of juice evreyday to get relief from acidity.
- To get instant relief from the acidity, have a bowl of yoghurt. It is most effective remedy against acidity.
- Mix 1tbsp of honey and 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar and take this mixture before meal to keep acidity away.
- Follow every meal with fresh mint juice. This is one of the best remedy.
- Take 1 clove and cardamom each and pound it to fine powder. Consume this powder after every meal.
- Heavy meal should be followed by a glass of buttermilk added with coriander (dhania) powder.
- One should include raw cabbage to their diet to prevent acidity.
- Avoid spicy food.
- Avoid beverages like tea and coffee. Instead; take herbal tea.
