What is Migraine? :- Severe headaches lasting from 6-72 hours can be termed as Migraine. so continues headache is also called migraine headache
What cause migraine headache ?:- causes that mainly trigger a migraine are
- anxiety,
- stress,
- lack of food,
- insomnia (loss of sleep),
- exposure to light and
- hormonal changes (in women).
Migraine In women mainly cause of menstruation
Migraine in children is mainly cause of hormonal changes occuring in teen age
Sign and symptoms of Migraine headache:-
- pain on one side of the head,
- depression,
- irritability,
- loss of appetite,
- pain,
- nausea,
- vomiting and
- weakness in an arm or leg.
- Fresh grape juice is an effective home remedy for Migraine. Reduce grapes to extract the juice. Consume the juice without adding water.
- Add few drops of water to sandalwood powder and form paste. Apply this paste on the forehead and let it dry. Rub it off after drying and wash.
- Cabbage leaves are also good at relieving the pain of a migraine headache. Squash cabbage leaves and place them in a cloth. Place the cloth on your forehead for sometime. Replace them after they are dry.
- Make a paste of lemon peel and apply it on the forehead. Let it dry and then rinse off with cool water.
- Massage the forehead with primrose oil to cure migraine.
- A mixture of carrot juice with spinach, beet or cucumber juice cures migraine. Mix 300 ml of carrot juice with 200 ml of any other juice and drink it.
- Increase the intake of vitamin B3 as it is helpful in reducing migraine pain. Some of the foods rich in vitamin B3 are yeast, whole wheat, green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, nuts, sunflower seeds, liver and fish.
- Include garlic in your diet.
- Chamomile tea is helpful in reducing the occurrence of migraine.
- Take lukewarm water enema. It removes the toxins from the body and helps prevent migraine.
- Avoid direct sunlight, smoking and drinking alcohol as they will increase the risk of migraine.
